Haaland’s Record-Breaking £250m Deal Makes Him Top-Earned PL Star

Erling Haaland Set To Be Highest Paid Premier League Player

Erling Haaland on the Verge of Signing a Record-Breaking Contract with Manchester City

The Norwegian striker is reportedly close to agreeing to a new deal with the Premier League champions, which would make him the highest-paid player in the league.

Manchester City has made a substantial offer of £500,000 per week to Haaland, a significant increase from the current highest-paid player, his teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who earns £400,000 per week.

Club officials recently met with Haaland’s family and agent Rafaela Pimenta to discuss the new deal, and the talks have been described as positive.

If the contract is signed, it will keep Haaland at the club until the end of the 2028-2029 season.

However, there is one aspect of the deal that is holding up the signing process: the £150 million release clause in Haaland’s current contract. Manchester City wants to remove it, but Haaland’s representatives are pushing to keep it in place.

A possible compromise could be reached by increasing the release clause to £200 million, which could satisfy both parties.

Since joining Manchester City three seasons ago, Haaland has been a prolific goal-scorer, netting 105 goals and providing 14 assists in 114 games across all competitions.
