In a devastating incident on Sunday, a Cessna Skyhawk 172M aircraft crashed in heavy fog near the village of Gan
ani in northeastern Slovenia, claiming the lives of three individuals.

The aircraft, owned by the Maribor Aviation Centre, had taken off from Maribor Airport at 11:20 a.m. on a scenic flight, which was a birthday gift for one of the passengers. The flight plan was to take a round-trip route from Maribor to Lendava, but it tragically ended in disaster when the plane encountered dense fog in the Prekmurje region.

According to Robert Roudi, a spokesperson for the Murska Sobota Police Department, the victims include two men, aged 30 and 33, from Beltinci, and a woman from the Štajerska region.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with experts from various fields, including an investigating judge, prosecutor, aviation inspector, forensic expert, and police officers, working to uncover the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The identities of the passengers have not yet been confirmed, pending the outcome of the investigation. However, the police have confirmed that all those on board perished in the tragedy.
