PDP’s Ajayi Challenges Ondo Election Results, Plans Legal Action

I’m The Only Candidate Addressing Real Issues Affecting Ondo People – Ajayi

PDP Candidate Rejects Ondo Governorship Election Results, Vows to Challenge at Tribunal

Agboola Ajayi, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) candidate in the Ondo State governorship election, has rejected the results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Instead, he plans to challenge the outcome at the election tribunal.

Ajayi, a former Deputy Governor, accuses the All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC of engaging in widespread electoral malpractice to manipulate the election outcome. He claims that his investigation into the election process revealed a pattern of criminality perpetrated by both parties.

Ajayi criticizes INEC’s handling of elections since the APC took power in 2015, claiming that the electoral body has consistently hijacked the process and delivered results that diverge from the expressed electoral desires of the people. He believes that the recent election did not accurately reflect the will of the Ondo State electorate.

According to Ajayi, the outcome of the election was tainted by electoral malpractice and manipulation. He maintains that he will seek justice through legal means, rejecting the declared results and vowing to take legal action to reverse the perceived irregularities.

INEC had previously declared APC candidate Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa the winner of the election, with a landslide victory across all 18 local government areas of the state.

Ajayi’s statement concluded with a call to INEC and the Judiciary to prioritize the integrity of the electoral process and ensure that justice is served. He also emphasized the need for an end to criminality in the electoral process.
