Support flows in for Okorocha’s plea: “Some Igbos can’t return home”

Nnamdi Kanu: ‘We All Have Not Had Access To Our Home Town’ – Cubana Chief Priest Supports Okorocha’s Plea

Celebrity Bartender and Political Figure Urge Release of IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been detained since June 2021, following his extradition from Kenya. His situation has sparked widespread concern among many, including former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha and celebrated barman Okechukwu Pascal, aka Cubana Chiefpriest.

During a recent tribute evening honoring the late Nigerian Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Okorocha implored Senate President Godswill Akpabio to intercede on behalf of the Federal Government to secure Kanu’s release.

Cubana Chiefpriest also joined the appeal, sharing his thoughts on social media. He acknowledged that many Igbos have been unable to access their hometowns for almost five years, stating that Kanu’s release holds the key to restoring peace to the region. His words were laced with a sense of urgency, as he lamented the loss of lives and property.

“@senator_akpabio, we make a simple request of your esteemed office,” Cubana wrote. “Please ask the Federal Government to reconsider Nnamdi Kanu’s detention and allow him to return home. His release would be a monumental step towards rebuilding our Southeast region, which has been plagued by turmoil for nearly five years. We urgently need peace and stability so we can rebuild and revitalize our communities.”
