Imumolen Obediently Booted from Accord Party Amidst Rumors

Ex-Presidential Candidate, Imumolen Expelled From Accord Party

Accord Party Boots Out Presidential Candidate, 8 Others Over Misconduct

A shocking decision has been made by the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Accord Party to expel its 2023 presidential candidate, Professor Christopher Imumolen, along with seven other party members. The reason for this drastic measure is the alleged involvement of these individuals in activities that undermine the party’s integrity and go against its constitution.

The NEC made this decision during a meeting held in Abuja, which was attended by Barrister Maxwell Mgbudem, the national chairman, and Dr. Adebukola A. Ajaja, the national secretary. The decision was based on recommendations from a disciplinary committee that investigated claims of serious misconduct, anti-party actions, and constitutional violations.

According to the committee’s findings, the expelled individuals were guilty of factionalizing the party, bringing it into disrepute, and violating its constitution. The NEC, therefore, unanimously approved the disciplinary measures against them, making it clear that it will not tolerate such behavior in the party.

The list of expelled members includes Imumolen, as well as the chairmen of Lagos, Zamfara, Borno, Ekiti, Ondo, Nasarawa, and Lagos states. Additionally, three other individuals have been suspended from the party.

The NEC emphasized the importance of upholding the party’s constitution to prevent disorder and chaos. In a statement, the party praised the leadership of Mgbudem, citing his efforts to revitalize and rebrand the party ahead of the 2027 elections.
