Chaos Ensues as APC-affiliated Thugs Ransack Edo PDP Secretariat

A group of thugs allegedly led by Kapuepue, the younger brother of Tony Adun, also known as Tony Kabaka, stormed the Edo State secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Thursday, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake.

The attackers, reportedly affiliated with the All Progressives Congress (APC), wreaked havoc on the PDP Secretariat, smashing doors, windows, and office equipment, and making off with valuable electronics, computers, and other items.

The Publicity Secretary of the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee, Chris Osa Nehikhare, has condemned the attack, describing it as a desperate attempt to intimidate the PDP and derail its efforts to reclaim its mandate.

Nehikhare called on security agencies to investigate the incident and bring those responsible to justice, warning against further attempts to destabilize the PDP in Edo State.

In a statement, Nehikhare said, “It’s unacceptable that the APC would resort to such reckless behavior, mobilizing thugs to attack our party’s headquarters in a desperate bid to undermine our efforts to reclaim the mandate given to us by the Edo people.”

The Publicity Secretary questioned the APC’s confidence in the outcome of the September 21 governorship election, saying, “If they’re truly confident in their victory, why are they so jittery and resorting to thuggery?”

Nehikhare emphasized that the attack was “barbaric and totally condemnable,” and urged security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident and hold the perpetrators accountable.

The PDP has vowed to remain resolute in its pursuit of justice and the restoration of its mandate, urging its members and supporters to remain calm and resolute in the face of provocation.
