Tinubu’s 2027 Ambitions: Labour Party’s Director Spills the Beans on Their Alliance with APC

Adeyanju: Labour Party Speaks On Working For Tinubu, APC Ahead Of 2027 Elections

The Labour Party has categorically denied allegations that it is secretly working with President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections in Nigeria.

In a statement released by its National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, the party emphasized that it has not formed any alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and remains committed to its opposition stance.

The Labour Party responded to a viral video by Deji Adeyanju, who claimed that the party has been bought over by President Tinubu and the APC. The party vehemently denied these claims and demanded an apology from Adeyanju, labeling his post as criminal defamation.

The party accused Adeyanju of making disparaging remarks against its leadership, particularly National Chairman Julius Abure, and demanded that he provide evidence to support his claims or retract his statements and apologize for the harm caused.

“The Labour Party is the most prominent opposition party today, and our National Chairman, Julius Abure, is a leading voice in the opposition, consistently criticizing the present government,” said Ifoh.

The party reiterated its commitment to building on its achievements from the 2023 elections and challenging the status quo in Nigeria’s political landscape. It also vowed to continue providing workable solutions to the country’s problems.

Ifoh warned Adeyanju against making further “unguarded and callous” remarks against the party, stating that his previous assertions had caused significant harm to the party’s reputation.

The party views Adeyanju’s comments as criminal defamation and demands that he either provide proof or apologize to the leadership and millions of Labour Party members.
