Wike’s selfish politics threaten PDP, party leaders must stand up against his divisive tactics

Wike Wants To Destroy PDP, Party Leaders Have Not Been Man Enough To Stop His Kindergarten Politics – Ugochinyere

Lawmaker Slams FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, for Causing Chaos in PDP

Imo State’s representative in the Federal House of Representatives, Ikenga Ugochinyere, has accused the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, of orchestrating a destabilizing force within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Wike, a former Governor of Rivers State, is still a member of the PDP, despite his actions being reminiscent of those typically associated with the opposing All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ugochinyere believes that Wike’s actions are not the primary concern for PDP’s woes, but rather the party leaders who have failed to stand up to him. The lack of confidence and capacity among party leaders to counter Wike’s attempts to dismantle the party is seen as a major problem.

During an appearance on Channels TV, Ugochinyere stated, “Wike’s actions in the PDP, remaining in the party while working to promote APC policies, indicates an intention to destroy the party.” He emphasized that this is not solely Wike’s issue, but rather the responsibility of party leaders who have been unable to stop his antics.

Ugochinyere also expressed frustration with the PDP’s acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, and National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, for allegedly working in favor of the APC. He wonders why leaders would prioritize keeping themselves in office over serving the party and country.

“I struggle to understand why PDP has a national chairman and secretary who seem to be aligned with the ruling government, and some members are comfortable with this, even filing court cases to maintain their positions,” Ugochinyere concluded, highlighting the need for genuine leadership and change within the party.
