APC’s Paul Chukwuma Rejects Zoning Claim for Anambra Guber Seat
In a recent press conference at his country home in Nneyi Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area, Paul Chukwuma, a former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and aspirant for the party’s ticket in next year’s governorship election in Anambra State, addressed the raging debate over zoning for the governorship seat.
He vehemently denied the notion of a power rotation agreement among the state’s senatorial zones, and instead emphasized that the concept is unique to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), which has governed the state since 2006. Chukwuma, a stalwart with a long-standing commitment to the APC, unequivocally declared that his party has no such power-sharing formula and is single-mindedly focused on winning the election and taking over leadership in Anambra State.
Chukwuma accused those pushing the zoning narrative of exploiting sentiment to manipulate other politicians, and instead called for a more collaborative approach to overcoming the state’s biggest challenges. He expressed his confidence in his ability to address these issues and guide the state towards progress.
In a bold statement, Chukwuma shared his vision for a better Anambra, stating, “I have presented myself to the people with a clear and comprehensive plan for revamping the state. In my administration, we will prioritize the provision of security within the bounds of the law, resist nepotism, and adopt a comprehensive approach to address security concerns in the state.”
