Hefty Loss for Egbeda Church: Thieves Steal Two Cows Valued at ₦1.9 Million
A dramatic incident has unfolded at the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Testimony Parish in Egbeda, Oyo State, where two cows worth ₦1.9 million were stolen from the church premises.
The unfortunate event occurred on November 11, mere days before the church’s annual adult harvest Thanksgiving celebration scheduled for November 17. The cows, purchased specifically for the occasion, had been left tied on the church premises.
Despite efforts to track down the stolen animals, the church has so far been unsuccessful. As a result, it has appealed to its congregation and the general public for assistance and prayers.
In a social media post, the church urgently sought the help of its followers, stating, “We are reaching out to all Celestians and the general public to assist us in recovering our stolen sacrificial materials for the 9th adult harvest thanksgiving celebration, which is just around the corner.”
The church also invited anyone with information or means to help recover the stolen cows or contribute to making the harvest thanksgiving a success to get in touch with the parish shepherd.
