Female ministers’ lavish lifestyle: husbands bear the cost

How Some Female Ministers Enjoy Luxuries, Trips While Their Husbands Suffer – Mike Bamiloye

Mike Bamiloye Speaks Out on the Injustices Faced by Stay-at-Home Husbands of Female Ministers

Founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has voiced concerns about the neglect of husbands by some female ministers who embark on extensive ministry trips, leaving their spouses to handle local church responsibilities alone.

In a recent Facebook post, Bamiloye highlighted the struggles faced by these husbands, often left to manage their churches on their own while their wives travel the world, enjoying luxurious accommodations and gourmet meals.

He drew attention to the stark contrast between the lavish lifestyles of these female ministers while away, and the isolation their husbands experience at home, relying on family members and househelp for meals.

Bamiloye noted that when husbands express their concerns about their wives’ extended absences, they are often accused of stifling their partners’ ministry calling.

In his words: “There’s a group of female ministers who never stay at home with their husbands. They travel extensively, staying in hotels and suites, savoring exquisite meals provided by their hosts, while their husbands are left behind, managing the local church alone.” He continued, “They may be away for two or three months, preaching the gospel globally, while their husbands endure loneliness, relying on family and friends for meals.”

He lamented that, when husbands attempt to curtail these trips, they are accused of suppressing their wives’ ministry ambitions.

Bamiloye also observed the irony of these ministers publicly praising their husbands while being disconnected from them in their personal lives. “They often stand behind pulpits, introducing their sermons by eulogizing their husbands: ‘I bring you greetings from my husband, the owner of my head, the one who paid my dowry, without whom I wouldn’t be here today. He sends his warm greetings,’ even as the man suffers in solitude at home,” he pointed out.
