Plateau State Governor Hosts Federal Lawmakers at Old Government House

In a bid to rebuild the state for the greater good of its citizens, Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, recently hosted members of the National Assembly from Plateau at his residence in the Old Government House, Jos.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the Governor to share his administration’s vision for revitalizing Plateau’s progress and ensuring equitable development across all communities.

In his remarks, Governor Mutfwang underscored the importance of collaboration among leaders, emphasizing that unity is crucial for realizing the Plateau project’s goals.

“We’ve come to understand that without unity and cooperation, we cannot progress as a state,” Mutfwang said. He added that the meeting signified a new beginning in which elected representatives from various political parties, including PDP, APC, and Labour Party, have vowed to work together for the state’s development.

The Governor went on to describe the Plateau project as a vision for developing and moving the state forward, stating, “This meeting symbolizes our collective resolve to set aside political differences in favor of our people.”

Mutfwang expressed his satisfaction with the harmonious atmosphere of the meeting, which he believed signaled a brighter future for Plateau State.

The meeting was attended by several National Assembly members, including Senator Diket Plang (Plateau Central), Hon. Ahmed Idris Wase (Wase Federal Constituency, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives), and others.

Notably absent from the meeting were Senator Pam Dung Gyang (Plateau North) and Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi (Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency), who were unable to attend due to official duties.
