Tiwa Savage, a renowned Nigerian singer, attributes the proliferation of entertainers in the country to the difficulties of survival in Nigeria.
In a revealing interview on the ‘Shopping The Sneakers’ podcast, Tiwa Savage opens up about the harsh reality of making a living in Nigeria.
According to the musician, the struggles of living in Nigeria are what give rise to so many incredibly talented artists.
“When you find yourself in Nigeria, it’s easy to understand why we produce so many A-list stars,” Tiwa Savage explained. “Surviving in Nigeria requires a special kind of effort, which is why most artists who emerge from this country are, in reality, just hardworking people trying to make a way for themselves.”
In a separate episode, Tiwa Savage confessed to receiving a Range Rover as a birthday gift in the past.
According to Naijawebinfo, the musician shared this anecdote on The Beat 99.9 FM, a radio station in Lagos.
Apparently, the gift was from a man who had been enamored with her, but Tiwa Savage declined, returning the car due to her lack of interest.
“I once received a Range Rover as a birthday gift from someone, but I quickly returned it because I was not drawn to him emotionally,” Tiwa Savage reminisced. “Additionally, I didn’t want the car to become a token of obligation, should his affections remain unreciprocated.”
