Reality TV star Phyna, whose real name is Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, has sparked outrage on social media after revealing that a popular Lagos restaurant in the Nigerian city refused to let her in due to her outfit. The incident has left many fans feeling disappointed and upset.
In a post on Instagram, Phyna shared a video of herself sporting a black ensemble that barely covered her cleavage and midriff. She claimed that the restaurant staff told her she was dressed indecently and couldn’t enter the premises.
In her Instagram post, Phyna wrote, “I went to dinner at a fancy Lagos restaurant, only to be turned away because I was ‘dressed indecently.’ Can you believe it?”
It’s not the only controversy Phyna has faced recently, as she has also announced that she is distancing herself from her given surname, Otabor. In a heartfelt post, Phyna shared that she has been struggling to come to terms with her identity and was forced to confront the harsh reality that she may not be related to the Otabor family, as she was led to believe.
Phyna wrote, “I’ve grown up thinking I was part of the Otabor family, but it turns out I’m just as lost as I am. I’ve been searching for my real family for a long time, and it’s been a tough journey.” She concluded by stating that she is determined to start fresh, leaving the Otabor surname behind and forging a new path.
