‘Mad People, Leave Davido Alone’ – Paul O Knocks Nigerians Criticizing Singer Over Controversial Comment

Music industry entrepreneur Paul Okoye, also known as Paul O, has come to the defense of Davido, slamming critics who are attacking the artist for advising people abroad to reconsider relocating to Nigeria.

Naijawebinfo reported that Davido recently shared his honest opinion on the trend of Americans relocating to Africa during an interview on the ‘The Big Homies House’ podcast.

From his own experiences as someone who was raised in Nigeria after being born in the United States, Davido expressed his concerns about the current state of Nigeria’s economy, stating, “It’s not cool back home. The economy now is in shambles..”

Davido’s words sparked a heated online debate, with many Nigerians rebuking him, fearing that his statement would drive away foreign investors and entrepreneurs from the country.

Paul Okoye, in response, took to his Instagram page to express his support for Davido, lambasting those who are criticizing the artist as “mad” and out of touch with reality.

In his post, Okoye acknowledged that Nigeria’s economy is indeed struggling, with global companies departing and local businesses facing significant challenges. He urged critics to acknowledge the harsh economic truth and work towards building a better future for the country.

Paulo’s message read: “Please leave Davido alone. Mad people. Davido spoke the truth. Nigeria’s economic situation is dire, with many global companies leaving and local businesses struggling to survive. It’s clear that the country is facing difficulties. Let’s face reality and work towards a better tomorrow. God bless Nigeria.
