Adamawa State Police Make Arrests in Killing of Policeman
A shocking crime has been uncovered in Adamawa State, Nigeria, as the Police Command has arrested two individuals for the murder of a police officer, Ibrahim Maizabuwa.
According to reports, the suspects, Ezekiel Kefas, 67, and Stephen Zabadi, 44, hail from Wamsa Suwa Ward in Lamurde Local Government Area of the state.
The police received a report from the deceased officer’s son, Danlami Ibrahim Maizabuwa, on November 19, 2024, which led to the suspects’ apprehension.
During an investigation, it was revealed that the officer was killed and buried in the community after visiting his friend, Ezekiel Kefas.
Kefas claimed during interrogation that a group of thugs killed the officer in response to his alleged destructive behavior, including damaging property and assaulting people in his house.
According to Kefas, the officer, “started destroying property including a pot of soup and water in my house and assaulted people, which attracted women and children who raised the alarm, and subsequently, thugs who beat him to death.”
He also identified three other individuals, Yakubu, Suleiman, and Kilyobas, as being involved in the officer’s murder, stating that they used sticks to beat him to death.
The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has ordered a thorough investigation into the incident and the prosecution of the suspects.
