Manchester United Eye Nigerian Striker Duo

Manchester United Include Two Nigerian Strikers In Wishlist

Manchester United’s search for a goal-scoring boost continues under new coach Ruben Amorim, with two Nigerian strikers reportedly on their radar.

This season, Manchester United’s attacking struggles have been well-documented, with just 13 goals scored in their first 12 Premier League matches.

According to sources, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush and Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen are the top contenders to join the Old Trafford squad.

Marmoush has been in scintillating form this season, netting 11 goals in 11 Bundesliga appearances, and is believed to be available for around £50 million.

Osimhen, currently on loan at Galatasaray after expressing a desire to leave Napoli, boasts a £63 million release clause and has scored eight goals in 10 games this term.

Other potential options for United include Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Boniface, though they are considered outside bets.

Kolo Muani, who joined Paris Saint-Germain for £77 million last year, has had limited game time, with only two starts this season, leading the club to consider a loan or sale. Boniface, meanwhile, has been in impressive form, scoring eight goals in 15 matches this season, having played a key role in Bayer Leverkusen’s success last year.

Manchester United’s forward line has struggled for consistency, with Rasmus Hojlund scoring just twice since returning from injury, while Joshua Zirkzee has yet to add to his debut goal after 18 appearances since joining from Bologna for £36.5 million.

Juventus are also reportedly interested in signing Victor Osimhen from Napoli, as highlighted by Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano. This interest aligns with their need for a new first-choice striker, with Dusan Vlahovic’s future uncertain.

Osimhen’s exceptional performance at Galatasaray has heightened interest from various clubs. However, Napoli’s valuation of Osimhen is significant, seeking between €60 and €70 million, and prefer a straightforward sale to a swap deal.
