Nigerian Singer Speed Darlington Arrested in Owerri
In other news, Nigerian singer Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Okoye, has been taken into custody by the Nigerian police.
According to human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju, the singer was arrested upon his return to Nigeria for a show in Owerri, Imo State. The reasons behind his arrest remain unclear.
Adeyanju revealed the news on his Facebook page, simply stating that “our client Speed Darlington a.k.a AKPI has been arrested by the Nigerian police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.”
This is not the first time Darlington has found himself in hot water with the law. He was previously detained for alleged cyberstalking of his colleague, Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy.
