CAF Names Togolese Match Officials for Ghana-Nigeria Senior B Clash
The 2024 African Nations Championship qualifying matchup between Ghana and Nigeria’s senior B teams is just around the corner, and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced the officials who will be in charge of the game
On December 22nd, the first leg will take place at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the second leg scheduled for December 28th at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Aklesso Gnama will lead the officiating team, joined by fellow Togolese officials Jonathan Ahonto Koffi and Wassiou Tchamolla Ourotou as assistant referees, and Kossi Fabrice Senyo as the fourth official.
Liberian Ivan Gator Brown will act as the match commissioner, with Hugues Alain Adjovi from Benin serving as the referee assessor
For the second leg in Uyo, Moroccan officials Hamza El Fariq, Abdessamad Abertoune, Zakaria Bouchtaoui, and Hicham Temsamani will take on the roles of referee, assistant 1, assistant 2, and fourth official respectively.
Prince Kai Saquee from Sierra Leone will be the commissioner, with Miboti Moise from the Democratic Republic of Congo serving as the referee assessor
The kickoff for the Accra match is set at 4 PM Ghana time (5 PM Nigeria time), while the Uyo game will begin at 5 PM
The team that wins this two-legged tie on aggregate will earn a spot in the 8th African Nations Championship finals, to be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
This tournament will serve as an important dress rehearsal, allowing the host nations to test facilities and equipment ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations finals, which will take place from 1st to 28th February 2025.
