APC Members in Ogbagi Akoko Ward Six Reject PDP Defectors Led by Bobade Gboyega

A tense situation has unfolded in Ogbagi Akoko Ward Six, Ondo State, as members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have rejected a group of defectors led by Bobade Gboyega, popularly known as “Danger.” This development has sparked controversy, with APC members expressing unhappiness over the unauthorized acceptance of the defectors by some local party leaders.

The issue came to light during a visit by Honourable Bode Obanla, Senior Special Assistant to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Community Engagement (Ondo North). As part of his fact-finding and reconciliation mission in Ondo North Senatorial District, Obanla listened to the concerns of APC members, who made it clear that the acceptance of the defectors was “unacceptable, null, and void.”

The APC members accused party leaders of deceiving them into allowing the integration of Bobade’s group, which they now strongly oppose. They view this move as a betrayal of their trust.

In addition, Obanla addressed the concerns surrounding the recent brutal attack on Hon. Eli Awe, Director General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign for Akoko North West Local Government. He assured the members that the attack would not be ignored and that the Governor was taking steps to address the situation.

The Senior Special Assistant urged calm, assuring the members that the controversies and negative perceptions caused by the acceptance of the PDP defectors would be resolved. “Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa is a peace-loving leader whose actions demonstrate his commitment to justice and fairness,” he said. “The door to APC is open to all, but not to those who perpetrate evil acts, using defection as a way to evade punishment. They must be brought to justice and held accountable, serving as a deterrent to others.”
