Osita Chidoka Exits PDP, Citing Undemocratic Leadership Structure

Just In: Ex-Aviation Minister, Osita Chidoka Resigns From PDP [Video]

Osita Chidoka, a former Minister of Aviation and ex-Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has parted ways with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

On a recent appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Chidoka shared the news of his resignation. According to him, this decision was not taken lightly, and he first sent a formal letter to his ward chairman in Anambra State earlier that day.

The reasons behind his resignation are crystal clear. Chidoka has decided to put his focus on the Athena Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting political reform in Nigeria. He aims to align himself with like-minded individuals, striving to bring about evidence-based governance and a more effective political system.

In his own words, Chidoka explained, “I sent a letter to my ward in Anambra State earlier today, officially resigning from the PDP. I am leaving the party and leaving politics, at least for now. My priorities have shifted, and I am dedicating my time and energy to the Athena Centre.”

He continued, “I will be working alongside fellow Nigerians who share my vision for reforming the political system and bringing about a more effective and transparent governing body. As of today, I am no longer a member of the Peoples Democratic Party.”

Effective immediately, Chidoka is shifting his focus towards his non-profit organization, where he will unite with like-minded individuals to champion the cause of political transformation in Nigeria.
