APC Exposed: Edo Election Rigging Scandal Rocks Party, Obaseki Calls Out Lies

Okpebholo, APC Jittery Over Exposure Of Systemic Rigging In Edo, Lies To Cover Fraud – Obaseki

Former Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has alleged that Governor Monday Okpebholo is frantically reacting to the independent analysis conducted by the Athena Centre for Policy and Leadership on the Edo State governorship election.

The Centre’s findings, presented on Channels Television’s Politics Today, suggested that the election results were flawed due to systemic rigging.

However, Okpebholo’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, disputed the findings, claiming that the Centre’s analysis was part of a well-orchestrated plot by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to bully and blackmail the judiciary into overriding the will of the people.

In response, Obaseki’s Media Adviser, Crusoe Osagie, defended the Centre’s analysis, stating that the evidence presented on Channels TV revealed widespread manipulation and substantial interference in the electoral process.

The Centre’s findings revealed shocking discrepancies in the election results, including inflated numbers of accredited voters and inconsistent data uploads to the Result Viewing Portal.

Obaseki’s aide alleged that the APC, party to the electoral fraud, would rather have the findings dismissed, distorted, or buried under a barrage of propaganda and baseless accusations.

According to Obaseki’s statement, the analysis was a blow to the APC, and they are resorting to smear campaigns, lies, and propaganda to distract from the truth.

Obaseki reiterated his party’s commitment to reclaiming the mandate given by the people of Edo State and expressed confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary, which will ultimately serve justice and uphold the people’s will.
