Nollywood Star Ekene Umenwa Credits Business Dealings for Meeting Her Husband
Naijawebinfo reports that actress Ekene Umenwa and her husband, Ifeanyi Ogbodo Alex, a movie producer, tied the knot in November 2023 and welcomed their first child recently.
Meeting through a shared business venture several years ago, Umenwa revealed that their professional partnership evolved into a strong friendship, and eventually, romance blossomed. Their blossoming relationship was a natural progression, as they discovered they shared similar business interests.
With a private disposition, Umenwa reflected on her guarded nature, saying that if it weren’t for her decision to share her marriage announcement on social media as a tribute to her faith, she might have kept the news to herself. “I’m a private person, and I might have chosen not to share the news on social media if I hadn’t decided to do it for God’s glory,” she said.
Umenwa reflected on the importance of taking her time to ensure her and her husband’s readiness for marriage, stating, “Many people share their marriage on social media prematurely, but there are those who don’t like you, and there are external forces waiting to pounce.” Ultimately, they knew a joint prayer and consultation with each other were crucial before making the announcement public.
