In a highly anticipated matchup, Liverpool Football Club claimed a resounding 2-0 victory over the reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City, at Anfield on December 1.

The 2-0 victory saw Liverpool remain at the top of the Premier League table, boasting 34 points from 13 matches. Manchester City, on the other hand, slipped to fifth place, with 23 points from the same number of games.
After Matchday 13, Arsenal retained second spot with 25 points, while Chelsea remained in third position, also on 25 points.
