Davido credits his father for teaching him to have faith in God

Nigerian singer Davido recently shared a powerful insight on his faith in a podcast interview with Rollingout. He attributed his ability to overcome life’s challenges to the lessons his father, Adedeji Adeleke, taught him about the importance of having faith in God.

Davido revealed that growing up in a Christian home, his father, a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, instilled in him the value of not questioning God’s plans. He explained that this lesson has carried him through tough times, including the loss of his son, Ifeanyi.

According to Davido, his father’s guidance helped him understand that one cannot question God’s will, and that faith is what gets people through difficult situations. He shared a personal experience where he went through a period of struggle, but later found success and recognition, including multiple Grammy nominations. Davido attributed this to his faith and the lessons his father taught him.
