Premier League Suspensions Looming for Super Eagles Duo, Ndidi and Bassey
Leicester City stars Wilfred Ndidi and Calvin Bassey are teetering on the edge of a suspension in the Premier League due to accumulating yellow cards. The players have already received four cautions each, putting them at risk of a one-match ban if they get booked again.
The stakes are high as Leicester City faces off against West Ham United today at the King Power Stadium. The match marks the debut of new manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, who aims to make an instant impact with the Foxes.
In other action, Fulham will be in play later this week, welcoming Brighton & Hove Albion to Craven Cottage on Thursday.
However, there was a silver lining for Nigerian forward David Okereke, who turned in an impressive performance despite his team’s defeat. Okereke scored a goal for Gaziantep in their 3-1 loss to Fenerbahce on Monday.
The strike came in the 41st minute, levelling the score at the time. Okereke showed off his skills by effortlessly chipping the ball over the Fenerbahce goalkeeper’s head before shooting it into the net. This was Okereke’s third goal for the season with Gaziantep.
Despite his efforts, Gaziantep ultimately fell to Fenerbahce in the second half, thanks to two late goals from Rodrigo Becao and Edin Dzeko.
