A Surprise of Triplets: A Newborn Boy and Two Girls Delight a Police Couple

A 25-year-old woman, Fiddausi Muhammad, wife of a police constable, has given birth to triplet babies, a boy and two girls, at the Dutse General Hospital in Jigawa state, bringing joy and a host of new challenges to their lives.

After years of longing for a child, this is Fiddausi’s first pregnancy, which ended in a cesarean section delivery. While her husband, Dayyabi Muhammad, expressed gratitude to God for the successful delivery, he also acknowledged the surprise and difficulties that lie ahead.

Fiddausi herself was unaware that she was carrying triplets until the babies were born. Initially, she had only discovered that she was pregnant with twins during an ultrasound scan at the hospital. She had no idea about the triplets until delivery.

Fiddausi attributed her good fortune to the mercy and blessings of Allah, praying for God’s guidance in raising the triplets. “I thank Allah for His favours and blessings,” she said. “I pray for His support and guidance in raising them.”.

Muhammad, the father, has appealed to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, and his wife for assistance, citing the strain of raising three children and supporting his wife in her new role. With his meager salary and the country’s high cost of living, he worries that he may struggle to provide for his family’s basic needs.

The father of three added that the economic realities of raising triplets and twins at the same time are significant, with rising costs of diapers, baby formula, and medical care becoming increasingly overwhelming for many families, especially those with lower incomes.
