Wike Issues Ultimatum in FCT: “Job Security at Stake”

‘If Tinubu Sees This, I’ll Lose My Job’ – Wike Gives Order In FCT

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has issued a stern instruction to repair the crumbling state of public schools in Abuja’s Kabusa community.

Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony for the rehabilitation of the 9.8km Kabusa–Takushara road, Wike lamented the schools’ poor condition, describing them as unfit for the education of children.

Naijawebinfo reports that the Minister made this declaration amidst concerns over the dilapidated structures.

In his remarks, Wike emphasized that as a nation blessed by God, the country’s citizens, particularly children, deserve better education facilities. He vowed to upgrade the school to meet international standards and ensure it is fit for learning.

With conviction, Wike declared, “My brother, I will not accept this as a school for our people to receive quality education. We will immediately upgrade this school to make it a befitting institution.” He jokingly added that if President Tinubu were to witness the school’s current condition, he would likely lose his job as Minister, and he did not intend to risk that.

The Minister ended his speech by imploring Nigerians to pray for the Tinubu administration, acknowledging that with God’s blessings, the country and its people should not struggle.
