In a recent post on his Instagram page, Solade revealed that he was asked to pay for the award plaque, but he refused, citing that he doesn’t belong to the class of award buyers. He expressed his displeasure over the constant harassment he received from the event organizers to support the event.

The actor shared a screenshot of his conversation with the event organizers, stating that they were trying to sell an award to him. He wrote, “I was compelled to post the final outcome of many days of hide and seek over the attempt by the lady who had pressed to siphon cash from me.” The post has sparked controversy online, with many users expressing their support for the actor’s decision.

Meanwhile, Yemi Solade has also opened up about the secrets behind his 21-year marriage to his wife, Hannah.

The couple met on the set of Wale Adenuga’s popular series “Super Story” and tied the knot in September 2003. They have since welcomed two children, Rola and Femi.

In an interview with SeunOluketuyi TV, Solade attributed the success of their marriage to his wife’s support and tolerance. He also credited their deep friendship as the key to their successful marriage.
