Bello El-rufai, son of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-rufai, has categorically denied claims that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) raided his Kaduna residence and discovered large sums of cash and drugs.
El-rufai, who is currently a member of the House of Representatives, strongly refuted the allegations, labeling them as false and a deliberate attempt to undermine his credibility.
Naijawebinfo has learned that rumors have been circulating about the EFCC finding $800 million, ₦700 billion, and ₦1 trillion worth of drugs at El-Rufai’s residence in Kaduna.
In a statement released to Naijawebinfo, El-rufai clarified that he does not own an apartment in Kaduna, but rather resides in the family home in Unguwar Sarki, where he was born and raised.
According to El-rufai, the unfounded allegations are a deliberate attempt to mislead the public, tarnish his reputation, and create confusion. He emphasized that his constituents are well aware of his commitment to serving the people of Kaduna North.
“Those sponsoring these ignorant attacks should know that we will continue to serve the people and will continue to enjoy their annoyance,” El-rufai said. “We will continue to provide quality, frank, and honest representation in Kaduna North.”
El-rufai also criticized the use of fake news to manipulate public perception and instigate discord, calling it “defamatory” and an “affront to the principles of justice and fairness.”
He further stated that his legal team will take legal action against certain media outlets that spread false information, and the compensation they receive for their lies will be used to benefit the people of Kaduna North.
