Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde Urges Osun Residents to Reject APC in Next Governorship Elections
During the commissioning of the completed dualisation of Roundabout-Testing Ground-Ilesa Garage road in Osogbo, Osun State, Governor Seyi Makinde called on residents to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming governorship election.
The Oyo State Governor warned that the dark secrets of the APC’s past will soon be revealed, referencing their performances in the Edo and Ondo governorship elections.
Beyond this, Makinde expressed admiration for Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State for ignoring party differences and completing projects left unfinished by his predecessors, including the road now being commissioned.
Governor Adeleke expressed his commitment to completing projects inherited from his predecessors, citing several successes, including the completion of the Osogbo-Ikirun road dualisation, which has been open to the public since its completion within 100 days. He also mentioned the expansion of the reconstruction of Iwo-Osogbo road and the completion of several abandoned projects within the Osun State University. He also emphasized the significance of the road being commissioned, as it has improved the economic well-being and safety of the people, reducing the number of fatal accidents and traffic gridlocks on the road. He directed security agencies and road safety authorities to enforce safety codes and considered constructing speed breakers where necessary, with the Ministry of Works.
