Ademola Lookman Eyes CAF Africa Player Award: Cameroon’s Flavien Enzo Boyomo Endorses Nigerian Star
This year has been a groundbreaking one for Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, and the excitement is only building ahead of the 2024 CAF Africa Player Award. Cameroon’s Flavien Enzo Boyomo has thrown his weight behind Lookman, believing he has what it takes to win the coveted men’s best player award.
A standout moment in Lookman’s season came when he became the first player to score a hat-trick in a European club competition final during Atalanta’s thrilling victory over Bayer Leverkusen. Since then, his remarkable performances have earned him widespread acclaim from teammates, fans, and stakeholders alike.
Boyomo is one of many now rallying behind Lookman, who is vying for the top honor alongside a talented pool of nominees. Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, Algeria’s Amine Gouiri, Ivory Coast’s Simon Adingra, and South Africa’s Ronwen Williams are among the notable contenders.

This includes his historic hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen, which took his overall tally to an impressive 17 goals and 10 assists across all competitions.
Building on this momentum, Lookman has already notched nine goals and five assists in just 16 appearances for Atalanta this season, further solidifying his position as a force to be reckoned with. As the CAF Awards 2024 on December 16 draws near, it’s clear that Ademola Lookman is the man to beat.
