Labour Party Senator, Victor Umeh, Expressed Confidence in Party’s Ability to Overcome Current Challenges
Victor Umeh, a prominent member of the Labour Party (LP), expressed optimism that the party would be able to navigate its current difficulties during a thanksgiving service in Enugu.
Speaking at the event, hosted by Senator Kelvin Chukwu of the Enugu East Senatorial District, Umeh acknowledged that the party was facing unique challenges, but emphasized that these were not uncommon within the Labour Party.
According to Umeh, every political party experiences its own share of crises, and he was confident that the party would be able to overcome its current issues through diligence and hard work.
In a similar vein, Umeh highlighted the efforts of the National Assembly in addressing the economic hardships affecting the nation. He also stated that the Assembly had not received any requests from President Bola Tinubu that it had refused.
When questioned about the Labour Party’s performance in recent local government elections in Abia State, Umeh suggested that the upcoming general elections held greater promise due to the various factors influencing election outcomes.
Also in attendance was Dr. Ben Nwoye, who characterized the empowerment initiative as a genuine embodiment of democratic principles. Nwoye, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stressed the importance of beneficiaries making good use of the items, saying it would encourage donors to do more.
With his message of promoting good governance, Nwoye hoped to inspire the beneficiaries to utilize the empowerment items effectively.
