Warning: Moral Decline and the Coming of the End Times
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has shared a disturbing story about a pastor who was arrested for using the phrase “ladies and gentlemen” in a gathering, highlighting the sharp decline in moral values globally.
According to Pastor Adeboye, the offending phrase was reported by some individuals who felt it excluded those who neither identify as male or female. This incident has left him concerned about the state of humanity.
During a recent church program at the Throne of Grace, RCCG national headquarters in Ebute-Metta, Lagos, Pastor Adeboye delivered a somber message, citing the rapid deterioration of moral values as a wake-up call.
“The end is closer than we think,” he warned. “Things are getting worse, and we must pay attention. I have a pastor abroad who was arrested for simply addressing a crowd as ‘ladies and gentlemen.’ Some individuals reported him for discrimination, saying, ‘What about those who are neither ladies nor gentlemen?'”
In another jarring anecdote, Pastor Adeboye recounted a conversation with a woman who referred to her dog as her husband when discussing her family life.
“She was asked about her husband, and she replied, ‘I took him to the vet before coming. He doesn’t talk.’ When asked who her husband was, she described a handsome dog, leaving me to ponder the state of our world,” he said.
Pastor Adeboye urged Christians to take their faith seriously, urging them not to be swayed by the world’s moral decline.
“It’s time to wake up and take our faith seriously. Do not let the world’s moral decay weaken your resolve. God is holy, and we must not compromise. For those still playing church, remember Jesus is coming back. The devil wants to harvest you, but you must not give him the opportunity. I want to see you in my Father’s house,” he emphasized.
